The invention relates to a traffic system for recording and representing information relating to road traffic in a motor vehicle, in particular for main roads and motorways. Each receiver (10) has elements (101) for recording the signals of the first transmitters and elements (102) for recording the signals of the second transmitters. The traffic-related information is displayed and/or acoustically reproduced using the recorded signals for the existing direction of travel.
