An actuator/sensor power supply is provided for a transmitter-matching circuit (20), a receiver, and a transmitter controller of an Actuator-sensor-interface (AS-i) module. The transmitter matching circuit drives a controlled current source that is part of an AS-i transmitter (9), so that the output current (21) is independent of the potentials at the AS-iP and AS-iN bus lines connected to the outputs of the AS-i transmitter.
