PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for supplying and venting air to and from a mixing tank of a garbage disposer so as for microorganism in the mixing tank to be contacted with oxygen enough. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a main body(10) with a door(12) formed at a side thereof for opening and closing a mixing tank(11) which is provided in the main body(10), an air intake unit(14) with a fan(13) installed on the top thereof for introducing external air to the mixing tank(11) and an air venting unit(15) at a side thereof; the mixing tank(11) installed in the main body(10) for mixing food waste by blades(21); a heater(30) for heating food waste in the mixing tank(11) to evaporate moisture of food waste and keep a temperature at which microorganism grow well; a deodorizing unit(40) for eliminating vapor and odor generated from the mixing tank(11); and a control unit(50) for controlling operation of the heater(30) and the main body(10) to keep optimal temperature and humidity at which microorganism grow well, wherein the air intake unit(14) and the air venting unit(15) are separated from each other.
