PURPOSE: A method for preparing a crystalline Helicobacter pylori deformylase and a crystalline Helicobacter pylori deformylase prepared therefrom are provided. The Helicobacter pylori deformylase is an important target protein for development of resistant antibiotics and treatment of stomach cancer and stomach ulcer, and the crystalline deformylase can be easily X-ray analyzed and has improved degree of crystallinity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a crystalline Helicobacter pylori deformylase comprises crystallization of Helicobacter pylori deformylase according to a hanging-drop vapor diffusion method using a reservoir solution containing ammonium sulfate as a precipitating agent, wherein the hanging-drop vapor diffusion method is carried out under the temperature of 18 to 22 deg. C and pH of 7.2 to 7.6; the reservoir solution is a Mops buffer solution; and the reservoir solution contains 0.08 to 0.10 M of Mops buffer solution, and 1.9 to 2.1 M of ammonium sulfate.
