PURPOSE: A repetitive playback method in a sentence unit on a caption cassette player is provided to repeatedly play the sentence and display the caption data as much as user's request by storing an audio/caption information signal of some sentences in a memory when a caption cassette tape is played in a caption cassette player. CONSTITUTION: A control instruction signal and the caption information signal are stored in the memory, and a start address of the memory is inputted to a microcomputer. If a non-sound part of an R channel is detected during playback of a caption information signal area, the audio signal of the R channel is stored in the memory from the start point of a new sentence. During the playback, the audio signal of the R channel is continuously stored in the memory at the no-sound area of an L channel. A number of the sentence to be repeated is fixed through a key input part. If a repetitive playback key is inputted during the playback, a deck is stopped by detecting the non-sound area of the R channel or the end signal of the caption information area of the L channel, and the caption/audio signal stored in the memory are repeatedly output for the preset times.
