PURPOSE: Provided are a method for obtaining fractions having anti-elastase activity from Ecklonia cava, fractions obtained thereby, and anti-wrinkling cosmetics containing the same. The fractions decompose elastin and have high inhibition effect on elastase, as a cause of wrinkle formation. CONSTITUTION: A method for obtaining fractions having anti-elastase activity comprises the steps of: pulverizing Ecklonia cava and extracting it with 5-10 times of an alcohol soluble solvent 1-3 times; concentrating the extract by evaporation, suspending the concentrate in distilled water, and followed by extraction with chloroform or ethyl acetate to give a first extract; dissolving the first extract in ethylacetate, passing it through silica gel resin to elute active fractions, and followed by concentration to give a second extract; and adding 2-5 times of distilled water to the second extract, followed by suspension and freeze-drying to give active fractions.
