PURPOSE: Provided are a composition for sterilizing Vibrio vulnificus, and a using method thereof. The composition contains a chelating agent, preferably phytic acid or EDTA, and is harmless to the human body and environment. CONSTITUTION: A composition for sterilizing Vibrio vulnificus is characterized by containing, as an active ingredient, 5-50mM of phytic acid having pH 3-5 or 5-10mM of EDTA having pH 6-9 as a chelating agent. It is applied to a fish farm or sea water to effectively control or sterilize Vibrio vulnificus.
