PURPOSE: A method for coating powder of natural jade on the surface of light metal substrate is provided to express characteristics beneficial to the human body by evenly coating powder of natural jade on the surface of the light metal substrate, and a light metal substrate on which natural jade powder is coated by the method is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a light metal substrate treating process of preparing a light metal substrate(1) formed of magnesium, aluminum or titanium, degreasing the surface of the light metal substrate and cleaning the light metal substrate with water; a natural jade powder sandblasting process of coating natural jade powder(2) on the surface of light metal substrate by strongly blasting particulate natural jade powder onto the surface of the light metal substrate under the conditions that an injection angle is in the range of 45 to 135 degrees, temperature of the surface of the light metal substrate is maintained to the range of 20 to 300 deg.C, and an injection pressure is maintained to the range of 6 to 10 kgf/cm¬2, thereby penetrating natural jade powder into the light metal substrate to a depth of 1 to 20 m so that the natural jade powder is exposed onto the surface of the light metal substrate to at least 2 to 20% or more distribution ratio for the total area of the light metal substrate; and a surface coating film treating process of forming a coating film layer on the surface of the natural jade powder to prevent the natural jade powder penetrated into and exposed onto the surface of the light metal substrate obtained in the natural jade powder sandblasting process from seceding from the surface of the light metal substrate.
