摘要

PURPOSE: A wet friction material with a pitch carbon fiber is provided to have a 20% increased friction coefficient, compared to a standard carbon fiber and to have the improved shivering resistance, heat-resistant viscosity, durability and friction stability. CONSTITUTION: The wet friction material with a pitch carbon fiber comprises a fiber substrate containing one or more types of a petroleum pitch based carbon fiber on at least one outer side thereof. While the wet friction material bonding to an opposed frictional side, the petroleum pitch based carbon fiber of the wet friction material is contacted to the opposed frictional side. The petroleum pitch based carbon fiber comprises a solvated pitch and the pitch has a fluid temperature of at least about 40% in a non-solvated state, which is lower than a melting point of a fluid pitch.
