PURPOSE: Cereal for improving lipid metabolism and preventing obesity obtained by spraying a suspension of an extract and powder of plants containing polyphenol based material or bioflavonoid based material, and gelatin, agar, sodium alginate or the like powder on the surface of cereals is provided. It is effective in improving lipid metabolism and preventing obesity. CONSTITUTION: One or more materials selected from gelatin, agar, sodium alginate, propylene glycol alginate, sodium polyacrylate, potassium alginate, xanthan gum, carrageenan and glucomannan in an amount of 0.2 to 0.5% by weight are melted in water and added with powder and an extract of plants containing polyphenol based material or bioflavonoid based material in an amount of 5 to 10% by weight to produce a suspension.
