PURPOSE: A food product obtained by adding an extract and powder of plants containing polyphenol based material or bioflavonoid based material to plant powders such as rice flour, corn starch, potato starch or the like is provided. It is effective in improving lipid metabolism and preventing obesity. CONSTITUTION: A carbohydrate food comprises 50 to 90% by weight of starch power, 1 to 40% by weight of powder and an extract of plants containing polyphenol based material or bioflavonoid based material and 1 to 40% by weight of powder and an extract of one or more plants selected from sesame seeds, Zizyphi Fructus, carrot, pumpkin, dried grapes, green onion, onion, garlic, red pepper, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, radish leaves, persimmon leaves, buckwheat leaves, green tea leaves, eggplants, Lycium chinense leaves and fruits, citrus peel, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, tomato, chicory and spinach. The starch powder is one or more selected from wheat flour, rice flour, barley flour, corn starch, potato starch, sweet potato starch and tapioca starch.
