A coffee composition comprising polyphenols, bioflavonoids or extracts of plants comprising polyphenols or bioflavonoids for improving the metabolism of the lipid and suppressing the fatness
PURPOSE: A food composition obtained by mixing conventional coffee powder with a polyphenol based material, a bioflavonoid based material or powders of plants containing these materials in large quantities is provided. It has excellent effects of improving lipid metabolism and reducing body fat. CONSTITUTION: A food composition contains 20 to 70% by weight of coffee power, 1 to 10% by weight of a polyphenol based material or a bioflavonoid based material, 10 to 30% by weight of a hot water extract powder or ethanol extract powder of plants containing the polyphenol based material or bioflavonoid based material and 10 to 30% by weight of food additives. The food additives are one selected from vitamin C, taurine, carnitine, vitamin E, sesame powder, citric acid, honey and sugar. The plants are one selected from a persimmon, a persimmon leaf, leaves and flowers of buckwheat, leaves and fruits of Lycium chinense Mill., pine needles, green tea leaves, garlic, onion, carrots and the like.
