PURPOSE: Provided is a YIG magnetic body ceramic composition for microwaves, which has low magnetic loss and high density and can be used for communication parts for a microwave band. CONSTITUTION: The magnetic body ceramic composition comprises 95-99.95mol% of yttrium iron garnet(Y3Fe5O12) and 0.05-5mol% of silica(SiO2). The magnetic body ceramic composition is produced by a process comprising the steps of: mixing iron oxide(Fe2O3) and yttrium oxide(Y2O3) in the molar ratio of 5:3 and calcining at 1150-1250deg.C for 5-7 hours; adding 0.05-5mol% of the silica and mixing; molding and sintering the mixture at 1300-1450deg.C for 3-5 hours.
