GATE TYPE SHIFT LEVER APPARATUS ASSEMBLED WITH SOLENOID TYPE SHIFT LOCK MECHANISM IN VEHICLE WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE: A gate type shift lever apparatus is provided to reduce operation noise by contacting the slider to the solenoid with the spring and by performing the shift lock stably with the small solenoid. CONSTITUTION: A shift lock apparatus is composed of a solenoid(12) turned on in stepping on a brake pedal, a slider(11) contacted to the solenoid by a spring, and a shift lock plate(13) pivoting on the slider. The shift lock plate is vibrated according to selection of a shift lever(3), and the slider is fixed to the solenoid in selecting the shift lever while stepping on the brake pedal and turning off the solenoid. The shift lock plate is vibrated to move the shift lever from the position. The slider is spaced from the solenoid to prevent vibration of the shift lock plate in selecting the shift lever while turning off the solenoid. Thus, displacement of the shift lever is restricted.
