PURPOSE: An MAC(Media Access Control) processing device for real-time high-speed data processing and a transmitting/receiving method thereof are provided to collectively generate timing for transmissions in a synchronous/timing controller, and to supply the generated timing, in order to minimize data transmission delay, thereby quickly processing data in real time. CONSTITUTION: A transmission processor(218) receives a transmission frame, and transmits the frame to a physical layer interface(217). A receiving processor(219) receives the frame to perform frame availability checking, frame filtering, and WEP reverse coding processes, and transmits the frame to a receiving queue of a host. A synchronous/timing controller(204) collectively generates timing to control, and decides a channel state. A transmission protocol controller(205) controls the transmission processor(218). A receiving protocol controller(208) controls the receiving processor(219). A control interface(203) temporarily stores various control parameters, commands, and monitoring data, and generates a control signal.
