PURPOSE: A monoclonal antibody against asialo alpha 1-acid glycoprotein, immunochromatographic strip comprising the monoclonal antibody, and a method for diagnosing liver diseases using the immunochromatographic strip are provided, thereby easily detecting asialo alpha 1-acid glycoprotein, so that liver disease can be diagnosed at an early stage, and the progress of liver disease can be monitored. CONSTITUTION: The monoclonal antibody against asialo alpha 1-acid glycoprotein does not react with heptoglobin and alpha2-macroglobulin. A hybridoma cell KCTC 10261BP produces the monoclonal antibody against asialo alpha 1-acid glycoprotein. The immunochromatographic strip comprising the monoclonal antibody detects 1.50 microgram/milliliter or more of alpha 1-acid glycoprotein in a sample. A diagnostic kit for diagnosis of liver disease comprises the monoclonal antibody against asialo alpha 1-acid glycoprotein, and a solid containing Ricinus communis agglutinin(RCA) which is lectin recognizing asialo alpha 1-acid glycoprotein.
