GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM USING SMALL TERMINAL USED FOR CONNECTION WITH REPEATER STATION

PURPOSE: A geographical information system using a small terminal used for connection with a repeater station is provided to quickly offer a mobile terminal accurate geographical information by installing a small terminal between repeater stations. CONSTITUTION: A small terminal(20) installed between repeater stations receives position information and terminal ID information from a GPS terminal and transmits them to a mobile communication server(24). The mobile communication server(24) transmits information received from the repeater station to a GIS server(25), a position information service provider system. The GIS server(25) stores the position information and ID information in a database(26) upon receiving them, analyzes and processes them, and then, transmits obtained position information data to the mobile communication server(24). The mobile communication server(24) transmits the position information data obtained from the GIS server(25) to a terminal of a user mounted in a car through the repeater station(10) and the small terminal(20).
