PURPOSE: An electrode, a vacuum valve, and a vacuum circuit breaker are provided to allow for ease of manufacture and reduce a surge and chopping current value. CONSTITUTION: An electrode comprises a disk-shaped electrical contact(1); a reinforcement member integrally bonded to the surface opposite from an arc generating surface of the electrical contact; and an electrode rod(4) bonded to the reinforcement member. The electrical contact includes a high conductivity metal, a refractory component constituted by a metal nitride or a metal oxide, and an active metal. The active metal is the same as the refractory component. A vacuum valve comprises a fixed side electrode and a movable side electrode arranged in a vacuum container, wherein at least one of the fixed side electrode and the movable side electrode is made of an electrode including a disk-shaped electrical contact, a reinforcement member, and an electrode rod.
