PURPOSE: A network card linked with a smart card, and a method and a system for operating the network card using the same are provided to offer various smart card services through the present MS card without issuing a new smart card, and reduce a shock absorbing expense and a large scale promotion expense generated in a transfer process to the smart card. CONSTITUTION: The network card(500) linked with the smart card is equipped with a smart card application area as the smart card application area or an application storing memory in a network card server, and is linked with the smart card application area by storing the access information for the smart card application area to a storing medium(540) on the wire/wireless network. The storing medium stores the access information for the smart card application area by linking with the network card information and/or the network card user information. A network card terminal(505) supports the access to the smart card application area by extracting the access information from the storing medium. The network card server(530) is equipped with an application area of an extended smart card.
