TRAPPING AGENT OF VOLATILE HEAVY METALS AND ALKALI COMPOUNDS AND TRAPPING METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A trapping agent of volatile heavy metals including silica and alumina and alkali compounds is provided to solve economical problems such as pretreatment of trapping agent raw material, high cost and processing cost of the raw material and improve trapping effect, and a trapping method using the same is provided. CONSTITUTION: The trapping agent of volatile heavy metals and alkali compounds comprises a composition containing silica and alumina as effective components, wherein the composition comprises 10 to 70 wt.% of silica and 10 to 30 wt.% of alumina, wherein the composition is obtained from sludge incinerator of paper mill, sludge incinerator of sewage disposal plant and coal thermal power plant, wherein the trapping agent formed in a shape of filter or adsorption column trapping agent, wherein the filter is obtained by manufacturing a slip from a composition heat treated in the temperature range of 1000 to 1200 deg.C using a polyvinyl alcohol solution, impregnating the slip with sponge and firing the slip impregnated with sponge in the temperature range of 1150 to 1220 deg.C, and the filter has a pore size of 100 to 800 m, and wherein the adsorption column trapping agent is obtained by manufacturing a slip from a composition heat treated in the temperature range of 1000 to 1200 deg.C using a polyvinyl alcohol solution, forming the slip in a bead or cylindrical shape and firing the formed slip in the temperature range of 1150 to 1220 deg.C, and the adsorption column trapping agent has a grain size corresponding to a sieve size of 5 to 20 meshes.
