PURPOSE: Provided are a dual chamber fuel cell having a gas permeable catalytic combustor instead of a seal, a combustor for a fuel cell, a gas permeable catalysis gasket and its using method, to locate the catalytic combustor so as to contact with fuel after the fuel crosses the path on an intended electrode and to burn the fuel by catalytic action before the fuel is contact with an unintended electrode, thereby reducing manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: The dual chamber fuel cell(100) comprises a positive electrode chamber(102) for providing fuel(106) to a positive electrode(110); a negative electrode chamber(104) for providing an oxidant(108) to a negative electrode(112) (wherein the positive electrode chamber and the negative electrode chamber are combined so as to form a continuous space in the dual chamber fuel cell); and a catalytic combustor(138) which reacts at least some of the fuel with at least some of the oxidant and is located in at least some part of the continuous space. Preferably the catalytic combustor reacts the fuel with the oxidant before the fuel flows into a negative electrode and before the oxidant flows into a positive electrode.
