The system (1) as a fuel cell (2) that is provided with an anode compartment (4) and a cathode compartment (5). An exhaust gas is flown from the anode compartment by a device (8) for the separation of liquid water. The device is provided with a hydrophilic liquid water permeable membrane (11) whose one side (12) is provided with exhaust gas from the anode chamber and another side (13) is in contact with a material flow from and/or to the fuel cell.
