METHOD FOR REPLACING MONITORING PORT OF BASE STATION BOARD IN OPERATION STATION BY USING IS-2000 ATM NETWORK, NAMELY, BY PORT FORWARDING ALL INFORMATION INPUTTED/OUTPUTTED TO MONITORING PORT TO AN ATM NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for replacing a monitoring port of a base station board in an operation station by using an IS-2000 ATM network is provided to replace a monitoring port of a base station board by monitoring and controlling data inputted and outputted to the monitoring port by port forwarding the data to an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) network. CONSTITUTION: If a BCPA(BTS Control Processor Assembly) receives a packet in a packet standby state, it is judged whether the received packet is port forwarding packet(ST12). If not, the existing process routine is executed(ST13). If so, it is judged whether the port forwarding packet is routing packet(ST14). If so, the packet is retransmitted to the corresponding board by changing a destination address of the packet(ST15). If not, the kind of a command is checked(ST16). In the case of a forwarding termination command, a forwarding function is terminated(ST17). In the case of a forwarding command, it is judged whether data is currently being forwarded(ST18). In the case of a forwarding start point, initialization required for a forwarding process is executed and the current state is setup as forwarding(ST19). The received data is transmitted to a monitoring port(ST20).
