PURPOSE: A rendering apparatus and a method therefor are provided to achieve improved rendering speed by rendering in accordance with the operation of the view on which ultrasonic images are displayed. CONSTITUTION: A rendering apparatus comprises a look-up table storing unit for storing the index matched to three dimensional orthogonal coordinates of a view and the predetermined value corresponding to the index; a judging unit(12) for receiving three dimensional data for an object, and judging the conversion of the area where the three dimensional data are displayed as ultrasonic images; a display area calculating unit(13) for calculating a display area; a scan converting unit(14) for scan converting the three dimensional data; and a rendering unit(16) for rending the scan converted three dimensional data in accordance with the conversion of the display area.
