PURPOSE: Provided is an electromagnetic interference shielding and flame retardant hybrid functional composite which is environmentally friendly manufactured at a low cost due to the use of industrial wastes. Further, provided is a simple manufacturing method of the above composite. CONSTITUTION: The hybrid functional composite comprises 32.5-40 wt% of a waste plastic; 10-15 wt% of an electric furnace steel slag having a particle size of 200 mesh or less which is composed of iron-containing ingredients separated by a magnetic separator of 1000-4500 gauss; 12.5-17.5 wt% of an inorganic flame retardant; 10-20 wt% of a waste copper electric wire having an aspect ratio of 10-100 which is obtained by a flake process; 5-15 wt% of a waste carbon brush powder; and 5-7.5 wt% of a glass fiber having a thickness of 2-5mm which is surface-treated with a silane-based coupling agent. Further, the composite is manufactured by the method comprising the processes of: mixing the above materials together; melt extruding the mixture into a pellet; and molding the pellet with a hot press to obtain a composite.
