PURPOSE: A transfer case for overdrive shifting and underdrive shifting is provided to perform underdrive at low gear ratio or overdrive at high gear ratio by combining the predetermined gear range of the transmission. CONSTITUTION: A transfer case(16) of a vehicle is composed of a planetary gear assembly(100) for overdriving, underdriving or directly driving by combining a transmission of the vehicle, a clutch pack assembly(110) and a drum-band assembly(98). An input shaft drives an outer ring gear(108) of the planetary gear assembly, and connected to a disk of the clutch assembly. A carrier(106) of the planetary gear assembly is connected to a rear output shaft(30), and plural pinion gears(104) are supported by the carrier. A sun gear(102) of the planetary gear assembly is connected a disk(114) of the clutch assembly connected to the drum. The ring gear is connected to the sun gear to directly drive in operating the clutch assembly, and underdriving is performed with the pinion gears and the ring gear in operating a band(116).
