PURPOSE: A hand-operated protector for a milling machine is provided to prevent industrial disaster by covering a milling unit with a protection unit. CONSTITUTION: A hand-operated protector for a milling machine is composed of a support unit(3) coupled to a bracket(6) installed at one side of a headstock, a slide bar(2) vertically coupled to one end of the support unit, and a protection unit(4) fixed to the bottom of the slide bar and protecting a milling unit. The position of the protection unit is controlled by the rotation of the support unit and the lifting of the slide bar. A coupling ring(62) is formed at the end of the bracket, and has a coupling hole with a screw. A fitting ring(32) is formed at one end of the support unit, and has a hole with a screw. A fixing handle(38) is coupled to the coupling ring and the fitting ring to fix the support unit to the bracket. The support unit includes a first guide unit(34) having a slide hole(340), and a second guide unit(36) having a stopper(5) for fixing the position of the slide bar.
