PURPOSE: A device and a method are provided to achieve improved accuracy of adjustment of correction level, and detect the deformed portion of a winding mold. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a fixed reference plate(2) arranged in parallel to one axis of a three dimensional coordinate system; two movable reference plates(4) arranged in parallel to the other axis of the three dimensional coordinate system; and linear encoders(9,10,11) moving along X, Y, and Z axes. The movable reference plates simultaneously move in an opposite direction, and the center of the winding mold corresponds to the reference surface of a bottom board(1). A method for adjusting correction level, comprises a step of mounting a winding mold on a bottom board; a step of permitting the reference surface of the winding mold to correspond to the inner surface of the fixed reference plate in the bottom board; a step of permitting two movable reference plates to simultaneously contact left and right side surfaces of the winding mold; a step of matching the coordinate systems of the winding mold and the bottom board; a step of moving linear encoders in accordance with coordinates, and radiating light from the light sources attached to the linear encoders to the winding mold; and a step of correcting the curved surface of the winding mold such that the light is radiated to one point on the curved surface of the winding mold.
