摘要

PURPOSE: A high-strength shock-absorbing styrofoam material and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the consumption of materials by improving intensity without the increase of density, and prevent the surface of the shock-absorbing styrofoam material from being contaminated. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a high-strength shock-absorbing styrofoam material comprises the steps of: heating and partly melting polystyrene film(2) having a thickness of 0.3 to 1.2mm at 120 to 200 degrees centigrade for 1 to 5 seconds with a heating plate(10) having a hot wire(12) and a plurality of air vents(13); putting the partly melted polystyrene film on a shock-absorbing styrofoam material(1); and sucking the polystyrene film through a suction plate(20) disposed at the bottom of the shock-absorbing styrofoam material. A plurality of suction pins(21) are installed at the inside of the suction plate, and infiltrates into the inside of the shock-absorbing styrofoam material by the vertical motion of a variable plate.
