Selective Call Pick-Up Method In Private Branch Exchange System

PURPOSE: The method for selectively picking up a call in a PBX(private branch exchange) system is provided to display information on all receiving subscribers included in a same pick-up group to an LCD(liquid crystal displayer) of a pick-up terminal, or to turn off an LED(light emitting diode) of a button registering a corresponding receiving terminal, and to make a user of the pick-up terminal confirm the all receiving terminals, so as to make the user of the pick-up terminal select/pick-up a specific receiving terminal. CONSTITUTION: The system analyzes dialed digital information, and confirms whether the digital information is a call pick-up code. If so, the system registers subscriber information on all receiving terminals among subscriber terminals included in a same pick-up group to a ring table. The system displays the subscriber information to an LCD(liquid crystal displayer) of a pick-up terminal. The system stands by until a pick-up selection digit is received from the pick-up terminal. The system retrieves the ring table, and detects a pick-up selected receiving terminal corresponding to the received pick-up selection digit. The system transmits a check pick-up message to the pick-up selected receiving terminal, and receives a check pick-up responding message. The system transmits a line responding message to a transmitting terminal which calls the pick-up selected receiving terminal, and supplies a communication service with the pick-up terminal.
