PURPOSE: A multi-stage programmable gain control amplifying apparatus including an analog-to-digital converter and a method for correcting the gain error in response to the same are provided to minimize the size and the power consumption by implementing two functions of PGA and ADC simultaneously. CONSTITUTION: A multi-stage programmable gain control amplifying apparatus including an analog-to-digital converter includes a memory(200), a gain control and correct unit(202), a first sub-gain unit(204), a pair of gain units(208a,208b) and a digital correct unit(210). The memory stores a predetermined correction value. The gain control and correct unit outputs the gain control codes and controls so as to read the stored correction value to the corresponding address in the memory. The first sub-gain unit determines the predetermined gain. The pair of gain units outputs the second voltage obtained by the gain voltage or the ground voltage. And, the digital correct unit generates the N bits output values by inputting the voltage outputted from the first analog-to-digital converting unit and the gain unit.
