PURPOSE: A method is provided to measure particle size of alpha-ferric hydroxide in a convenient and reliable manner by using a hyperfine magnetic field measured through Mossbauer analysis. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of measuring a hyperfine magnetic field and particle size of ferric hydroxide by using a Mossbauer spectrometer, and obtaining relationship between the hyperfine magnetic field and the particle size of ferric hydroxide; and a second step of measuring a hyperfine magnetic field by performing Mossbauer light intensity analysis to the ferric hydroxide of which particle size is to be measured, and obtaining the particle size of the ferric hydroxide by substituting the measured hyperfine magnetic field to the relationship obtained in the first step.
