摘要

Nanoparticles (NP) of magnetic metals and oxides have attracted great interest in recent years because of their unique physical and chemical properties. Technologically relevant effects such as giant magnetoresistance and giant Hall effect may arise as a consequence of the small dimensions of the particles [1,2]. A fine control and tuning of their size is required to carry out deep studies on these effects, opening new technological possibilities in several areas, from pharmacology or medical uses to medium recording, A set of size-controlled Fe NPs were produced by chemical routes. In this work structural, magnetic and Mossbauer studies of NP samples in the range of 6 -12 nm (diameter) are presented.
