FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring and testing facilities and it can be used for adjusting angles of automobile steerable wheels at assembly and repair plants. Stand can be used for setting angles of front and rear wheels of automobiles. Proposed stand contains base frame with four sections, each consisting of paired drums rotated by forced drive with possibility of free displacement in plane perpendicular to longitudinal axis of automobile. It has measuring unit operating in channel for measuring misalignment of automobile axis relative to stand axis and in wheel toe-in and camber measuring channel and measuring rocker having no rigid coupling with wheel and made on joint in form of feeler gauge with three rollers arranged at angle of 120o relative to each other and contacting with side surface of wheel out of zone of deformation from drums. Linear displacement pickups take measurements in 512 points at one turn of wheel and put information in form of corrections through control system. EFFECT: improved accuracy of wheel alignment angles, provision of automatic measuring cycle, increased capacity. 3 dwg
