The adjustment device uses a laser source (24) mounted on a frame (22) positioned in front of the automobile, for directing a laser beam onto a mirror (13) provided by the radar sensor (12) perpendicular to the propagation direction of the radar beam. The rear wheels of the automobile have angle sources (14,16) used for alignment of the frame with the automobile longitudinal axis in conjunction with angle sources (18,20) at the opposite sides of the latter, with correction of the radar sensor using evaluation of the reflected laser beam.
