The vehicle control method involves determining at least one parameter indicative of the drive dynamics of the vehicle and at least one geometric property of the road ahead of the vehicle. In dependence on the drive dynamic parameter and the road property, a braking or acceleration action is carried out on at least one wheel of the vehicle. At least one parameter representative of a tire property of the wheel is determined. The braking or acceleration action is calculated based on this parameter.
