The method for generating Manchester coded signal uses a clock pulse signal with a period duration (Tp), corresponding to bit duration of coupled, phase sync., uncoded, binary data signal. The coupling of the two signals is of XOR type. The XOR coupling unit is contained in an appliance for generating Manchester coded signal. To first input of the unit is supplied uncoded data signal with given bit duration (T), while a second input of the unit is supplied with a clock pulse signal with given period duration (Tp). Independent claims are included for Manchester code generation and key unit for car access control system.
