The wind power system has a tower (1) fixed in water and carrying a wind wheel (2), whereby the tower is fixed to a flotation body (V) anchored to the water bed so that at least part of its volume is held under the water against the force of the buoyancy. The anchoring arrangement is formed by ballast bodies (8) and chains (Z) and/or cables. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of fixing a wind power system in water, especially in the open sea.
