A support wheel for an agricultural attachment for a tractor hitch has a hydraulic suspension and is deployed when the tractor is driven along a road, to reduce the load on the hitch. The hydraulic suspension is provided by a hydraulic ram which also serves to move the wheel between the deployed and storage positions. The hydraulics include a pressure reservoir on the high pressure side of the ram as well as a pressure controlled non return valve, which enables the suspension to accommodate road shocks. The non return valve can be inhibited, e.g. during normal use of the attachment.
