The floor structure has sills (3) on each side with a transverse seat cross support (4) and longitudinal supports. The seat cross support extends by an end (7) up into the outside area of the vehicle at the end of the sill. One end (7) of the seat cross support and one end (6) of the sill are fixed in the cast joint (2) with positive engagement so that the joint is supported by a rear wall (9) from behind against the two ends whilst its lower support wall (10, 11) supports the two ends from below. The joint part (2) extends towards the longitudinal centre of the vehicle corresponding to the stagger of the rear longitudinal support in this direction and the joint from there has a joint arm part (15) which extends inclined back and up to a level corresponding to the vertical stagger of the longitudinal support where it is attached.
