Parts of the drive not involved in direct transmission are uncoupled when this direct mode is engaged. Drive and output shafts (1,2) rotate as also their internal parts during direct drive. The gears are cut in and out by a drive constant (4) whose toothed engagement is made and broken by a switching element (5) on the drive shaft (1). The two shafts (1,2) can be directly coupled by a connecting element (6).
