The unit has a power transmission system (T) provided with a belt type steplessly adjustable drive (36), where the drive has a drive shaft and an main shaft arranged parallel to a crankshaft (12) of an internal combustion engine (E) of a vehicle e.g. motorcycle. An output shaft (37) of the system is connected and coupled with the main shaft over a gear mechanism (39). The mechanism has an idling shaft (112), which is provided with an axle (C4). The idling shaft is provided between the main and the output shafts, so that the main and the output shafts rotates in same direction.
