The bioreactor, for cell cultivation, has at least one elastic membrane (10) to carry the cells in a chamber (30). The membrane can be shifted by pressure in a volume (31) defined by the membrane and the closed chamber. The membrane also defines a second chamber (20) on its other side, with a volume (21), and both volumes are connected to pressure supplies. The bioreactor, for cell cultivation, has at least one elastic membrane (10) to carry the cells in a chamber (30). The membrane also defines a second chamber (20) on its other side, with a volume (21), and both volumes are connected to pressure supplies, to give a pressure difference at the sides of the membrane and with a pulsed air action in the chamber under the membrane. At least one of the volumes is filled with a liquid, and especially a cell culture medium, and preferably in the upper chamber. The chambers have inflow/outflow connections (22,32).
