The impregnation mass body has a container (10) filled with an impregnation mass (12), e.g. an insulating cable oil and having at least one surface region (16,18,20) which opens upon heating to a temperature of above 40 degrees C for releasing the impregnation mass. The container can be in the shape of a cone or a pyramid.
