Transition inner sleeve for the connection of paper-insulated cables to plastic-insulated cables

The inner sleeves of transition sleeves of plastic-insulated cables to paper-insulated cables are affected by the problem of using sealing elements and insulating materials to carry out electrical shielding separation. Structural parts made of elastomers are suitable for this. Soldering is not to be recommended in the areas where these elastomers are used, owing to the limited resistance to thermal stress and consequently easy destruction. This gave rise to the object of producing such an inner sleeve without soldering while ensuring absolute tightness. This object is achieved with the aid of a cover 2 which can be pushed into a sleeve body 1 and can be connected by means of screw connections 5 to a ring 3 which can be fitted on from outside. There are additional screw connections 6 between the sleeve body 1 and the ring 3. A bevel 25 of the cover makes it possible to insert a cord ring 4 between the sleeve body 1, the cover 2 and the ring 3. This inner sleeve can be used not only as a transition sleeve from paper-insulated cable to plastic-insulated cable but also as a sleeve for connecting paper-insulated cables. IMAGE
