The processed meat product (1) is composed of a meat mass (3), mixed with additives (2) e.g. salt, pepper and sugar. The meat mixture is kneaded into shape, and heated for cooking into a preserved condition at 70-75degreesC during and after mixing. The sugar content of the mixture is wholly or partially of chocolate fragments (5,6), bonded into the mixture before heating. The chocolate content is 2.5-25.0 wt.% of the total meat mixture mass, and preferably 10 wt.%.
