Method for determining the forces and torques acting on a driving motor vehicle in which acceleration sensors are used to determine roll, pitch and yaw movements and or roll, pitch and yaw accelerations. The determined values are then used in a mathematical model of the motor vehicle to determine forces and torques, or at least a number of their components, acting on the vehicle.
