Passivation of precleaned inorganic electrode of solar cell based on organic semiconductor, involves vapor phase deposition of metal alcoholate then phenol, alcohol or organic acid or of inorganic groups as monolayer
Passivation of precleaned inorganic electrode of solar cell based on organic semiconductor, involves vapor phase deposition of metal alcoholate then phenol, alcohol or organic acid or of inorganic groups as monolayer
Passivation of inorganic electrode (I) of solar cell based on photovoltaically-active organic semiconductor, after cleaning pretreatment, comprises (a) vacuum vapor phase deposition of metal alcoholate on (I) and removing chemically unbound fraction by sublimation; and (b) passing subliming phenol, alcohol or organic acid that is stable in vapor phase over (I) and removing chemically unbound fraction by sublimation to leave monolayer on (I) surface. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) similar passivation process, in which electrode (I) is treated with an inorganic acid to leave a monolayer on the surface; (2) solar cell with photovoltaically-active organic semiconductor.
