The electric toothbrush has 2 adjacent brush heads (3,4), each provided with an elastic neck (5,6), for forming 2 partial systems (1,2), held together by a coupling part (7) fitted to a drive housing acting as a handle (14) and oscillated via a central drive shaft (8), providing phase-shifted oscillation movements of the brush heads perpendicular to their longitudinal axes.
