The holder (10) is a box with folded walls making a main part (11) with an octagonal shape as seen in plan view. A base (12) may be screwed or glued to the side-walls and has four equally-spaced radially-extending radial semicircular-section ridges (13) to support the base of the bottle. An octagonal frame (14) at the top holds eight inward- extending tongues (15), which engage the sides of the bottle.
